Katie Jasmin began studying Pilates during her undergraduate years at Rhode Island College where she received a BA in both dance performance and music. Post-college, she received a comprehensive Pilates certification (2008) under the instruction of Jen McWalters - an instructor that trained under Ellie. She has also been certified through the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP) since 2009 (which was originally provided through Pilates Method Alliance). She has completed coursework for various facets of rehabilitation including Buff Bones® instructor training, BASI’s Pilates Injuries & Pathologies and Pilates for Neurological Conditions with the Neuro Studio, and has 15 years experience (and counting!) teaching within a physical therapy setting. She is also a certified GYROTONIC® teacher since 2018. Additionally, Katie holds a Master of Education in Dance from Temple University, and studied somatic movement education extensively with The Center for BodyMindMovement, as well as with other programs. Her varied movement and teaching background, and ongoing exploration of movement, colors and informs her teaching to enhance her clients’ experiences. She firmly believes in the healing power of movement for the mind and body, and is excited by creative problem solving to support others in learning, moving and growing. Take class with Katie on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm!
Rebecca Wolin
Rebecca is currently pursuing her M.A. in Dance/Movement Therapy at Drexel University. Her pilates certification was obtained through the completion of the 450-Hour Classical Pilates training program at Drexel Pilates, under the instruction of Jennifer Morley. Her training includes a classical pilates vocabulary through a contemporary lens, highlighting biomechanics, investigatory work, and evolved pedagogy. Overall, She aims to guide clients on how to safely move, aid in rehabilitation & wellness, strengthen their bodies, meet fitness goals, and help them to find breath/length. Her clients are her movement partners in this setting, so she strives to find joy in the movement together while also accomplishing individual goals and growing their movement practice together. She believes that pilates is for everyone, and we will work together as practitioner and teacher to reach everyone’s individual goals, find our breath, and move to improve strength, mobility and happiness! Rebecca has been dancing and engaging in embodied practices for the better part of her life. It’s a movement language that has always felt like home and she finds a lot of joy in teaching these languages to others. Let’s move together to grow your movement practice and reach your goals! Rebecca teaches Monday evenings at 5:30pm and 6:30pm Reformer.
